- This portal is to support the guitar playing community in obtaining the correct echo setting to support playing "the Shadows", Hank B. Marvin and others by providing listings per device and patches created by the community. Furthermore, specifics towards vintage echo gear is provided that enables users to build there own patches.
- Hank B. Marvin and the Shadows are known to have been utilizing echoes to compliment the type of music made. The echoes selected are an integral part of that music so it is seen as an requirement for guitar player to “sound like the Shadows”. In the commercial field there are a few offerings who could be too expensive for home users. This site is helping those users in both utilizing the correct echo settings in relationship with available backing CD’s. And more importantly, provide sufficient background on how to build patches themselves based on vintage echo devices. Moreover, the site will offer a set of basic patches that will provide users to build them.
- Echo and related VST modules developed and build by the Echotapper team are also made available to allow the communities to "play like the Shadows"
